Vikings Collapse In 2nd Half Vs Rockets
The Cleveland State Vikings did not have a good first year under HC Dennis Gates as they went just 11-21 overall, including 7-11 in league play.
They have four starters back from that team, but still, some publications have them picked to finish near the bottom of the Horizon League. Cleveland State has now averaged just 10.2 wins and 22.0 losses in their last five seasons. The Vikings did not
start the year off on good footing as they fell to Toledo on the road by a score of 70-61. The Vikings had a 12 point lead at the half, but they fell apart after the break, getting outscored 47-26 in the 2nd frame. Now they will need to try to bounce back against an Ohio team that is one of the better in the Mid-American Conference.
